How Men Face The Equality Situation

Was down at Ainsdale beach yesterday. There were two Rangers in a Jeep struggling to dampen down the sand at the entrance so that cars could drive over it without getting bogged down. One was a male ranger and one was a female. The poor male was struggling, in the cool of the cab, trying to move forward at a very slow pace, while he was busy on his phone. The female ranger, standing in the hot sun, had the easy job of manipulating a very large and heavy hose to water down the ever drying sand behind the jeep.

A similar picture was shown of the Fireman on Saddleworth. There were fireman huddled in a group to decide on best how to tackle the fire - while a fire woman struggled bravely with a heavy water hose in the enormous heat.

In reality, I have no doubt that these people were working in teams, each taking a turn to do whatever - but when observed in those instances, it gave the impression that men will not be beaten by modern legislation.

As we did during two world wars, without fuss or snippy comments from insecure men like Said. Fortunately the majority of men don't share his misogynistic views.

A while back I said I felt sorry for his wife and daughters, if he has any. I take it back. It's obvious that women don't factor in his life at all. To quote Donald Trump... Sad

If said could put his tongue in cheek I would think he was doing some damage limitation with that post.

He certainly doesn't seem to spend much time enjoying family life.

As he and his family live in Chester and as it is, on a good day, generally a 3 hour there-and-back commute, between Chester and Southport there's not really a sufficient window of time to be visiting Southport between his 10am morning shift finish time and the few additional hours afternoon work slot.

So a trip to Southport will be happening subsequent to the afternoon work shift, again necessitating a 3 hour commute, which leaves precious little time to be actually visiting Southport and seemingly no time at all to be at home with his family.

Apparently, (gleaned from reading comments on the news forum) he's said that he specifically lives in Congleton. If so, then the 3 hour round-trip commute time (to and from Southport) would be more like 3½ to 4 hours.

All the more remarkable, that he maintains such a prolific post rate on this site.

I withdraw my idea that he be awarded a Qlocal apprenticeship to work on the site's news team...

...as he clearly doesn't have the time, and it would impinge even further on the small available amount of time he has for family life.

Ha!Ha! I do not live in Congleton, which correctly speaking is One Hour and twenty minutes away from Southport - I travel a lot. I can access a computer anywhere in the World - I thought everyone could. I do not have to be in Southport to do so. If you read the posting correctly, it was meant to be tongue in cheek humour, as I explained after, that the people who were referred to actually work in teams sharing the work!
I guess many of the posters on here do not have a sense of humour - do they really need pictures to understand written words? Lighten up! There is far too much doom and gloom in the Public media as it is.

Hamble mentioned the phrase, tongue in cheek. She's a very intelligent lady - who provides helpful suggestions.

Your tongue in cheek bits are: working? spending a lot of time in Southport? having a wife and children? Is it all banter?

What was your joke again? Something about people working in teams? Hmmm. I guess now you were (very briefly) a stand-up comedian, in additional to your jobs as a scientific researcher, a school's counsellor, a fairground ride operator whom girls found very attractive...

Yes, you've mentioned before about the insights a poster's compositional style gives you...

You've never claimed to live in Congleton? Ok. The following News Forum poster was wrong, then?

You subsequently posted again on that News Forum thread, but did not reply to, nevermind challenge, Gwhizz's information.

Your work from a computer, which you can access anywhere and also, it follows, at any time. Yet you choose to wake at 4am each morning, to start work at 5am. Such discipline. Your army veteran brothers must be proud of you.

It's you who has bragged to me about your "great stamina".

It's you, subsequently, who has just asked me for a date!

And to top it all off, you now somehow believe I've tried to apologise to you!
