Discount Bed Centre have been in Southport for 35 years having been established in 1976. During that time we have built up an excellent reputation based on low, low prices, free delivery and first class service. Our 3 friendly sales staff are NOT on commission and, collectively, have over 75 years of experience in the trade. We are always willing to advise and help you buy a bed and, unlike some stores, we will never be pushy – there is a big difference.



We stock a lot of the leading brands, together with beds from lesser known, though excellent value manufacturers. In addition to the beds, we also have a large range of READY ASSEMBLED bedroom furniture, a lot of which come on castors. There are dozens of styles and colours available, all at unbeatable prices.

As we work on low margins, we not only beat the large national bed retailers hands down on price, but also offer FREE delivery (they will charge around £35), take your purchase upstairs FREE of charge (£25 elsewhere), remove your old bed for £10 (up to £49.95 elsewhere). Ninety nine percent of the time we beat internet prices too, so you can’t go wrong.



We have around 100 beds on display on 3 floors – divans, bunks, frames in leather, wood and metal, odd mattresses, headboards, electrical adjustable beds etc. etc. most beds displayed can be had in single, double, king and super king sizes, many can also be had in odd and special made to order sizes.

We hold massive stocks on site for immediate FREE delivery. If you want an item that isn’t in stock, we can usually get it in around 7 – 10 days.



We are open 9:30am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, and 11am to 4pm Sundays and Bank Holidays. You will find us half way down Eastbank Street at No. 91, almost opposite the Job Centre.
