Southport Holiday Guide 1980
Ok, I've found some more scans that I did a while back...
Hands up all those who fancy having a look.
Ok, they ain't as exciting as the Lancs Life ones, but still depict a very busy and bustling Southport from when we still had some decent lesiure facilities.

Once again, youre welcome Qwackerz.
All the bits you mention bring back happy childhood memories for me too.
I recall once being on that bridge over the paddling pool, looking round and realising that my family were nowhere in sight, after a lot of tears I somehow managed to find them over at the icecream van underneath the pier!
I wasn't sure about the Show Boat, I was beginning to think that it was just something than I had imagined in my head. I've never really looked at that booklet since my mum brought it home all those years ago, or I would have spotted it and confirmed my thoughts!

I remember the "Show Boat"....it used to be sited at "PeterPans" by the "Ghost Train"....
I got some distant pics of it in its location at "Pleasureland" a while ago and have been waiting for someone to ask about it on a thread....

Was it sited at a few different locations then? I only recall it being on the sea front, as in the photo above.
Lets have a look at your photos..

That was fab, C. Brought back lots of memories, but particularly that photo taken in the fairground of the Trooper, where I misspent my teens!
