A derelict site on the border of west Lancashire and Sefton's being cleared in preparation for a new housing development offering a mix of homes for sale and rent.
Groundworks at the site at Kew started on Monday with Skem. firm SEP overseeing operations.
Yesterday afternoon, the site was a hive of activity with contractors clearing trees and undergrowth.
Around 40 new homes will be built on the site with a new entrance road constructed in the near future off Scarisbrick New Road; there will also be an attenuation pond which will be developed as a 'nature' feature.
