The land train that runs along Southport Pier came to a grinding halt today after the wheel on one of the carriages fell off. Nobody was injured in the incident.

looking at that picture the 4 wheels nuts were missing .... no pre ride checks ?

My partner just had her caravan checked, 4 new tyres as past usage date even though hardly used, one wheel bearings needed replacing. Standard preventative checks, doesn’t look like the same maintenance here. Just wait till something goes wrong

What's Sefton got to do with it? The pier train belongs to a 3rd party concession.
