No Non League Club can exist without its volunteers and at Southport Football Club we have a highly dedicated team who help during the week and on a matchday.
Southport are looking to increase their numbers in a variety of areas.
MATCHDAY ROLES
Turnstile Operators.
50/50 Ticket Sellers.
Programme Sellers.
First Aid Support.
Stewards – Need to hold current NVQ Level 2 in Spectator Safety.
Assistance in the Corporate Hospitality.
Waiting on and bar staff.
Pitch maintenance assistants – Training will be provided.
Mascot – Someone to wear the Sandy The Lion mascot costume.
As well as matchday roles if anyone has time to spare during the week there are always jobs to be done around the ground and any help is always appreciated.
Contact our Volunteers Coordinator Christine Classon volunteers@southportfc.net if you are interested in any roles at the club or if you have particular skills to offer to the club.
Your support as a volunteer is greatly appreciated.
You may comment here but news always gets more discussion at our facebook.com/groups/southportnews

Are these volunteers required to fill the roles vacated by the previous batch of volunteers who gave up their time to help run the club?
The same volunteers who were so unceremoniously dumped when Southport FC went on a wild deluded fantasy trip in the big club world.
Chief Executives, ticket-less turnstiles, premier league stewards - the list goes on - if you wrote it as a piece of fiction it would be dismissed as too far fetched!

It is indeed. The megalomanic reign that was to see SFC back into the EFC that lasted just over a year, thankfully, is over. Money was squandered without thought and the Club offended many who gave their time and effort for free. Crass management.
Beware of people with big money, big ideas, and very little ability or know how.
