If you have children between five and 12 who want to learn new skills on two wheels sign them up for the free Bikeability Level 1 course at Richmond Park, Burscough, on Friday 31 May from 10am-midday.
Whether your children are learning to ride on two wheels for the first time or wanting to improve their balance and ability, then this session will suit them.
Instructors will help children learn to control their bike, improve observation and learn techniques to prepare them for road cycling in the future.
Councillor Yvonne Gagen, West Lancashire Borough Council portfolio holder for Leisure, said: “Bikeability is a really good way for children to learn new skills on their bikes. So if your children are aged between five and 12 make sure you book a place for them on this course.”
There are just a few places left, and these must be booked in advance by ringing 01695 570258 or emailing anne.faulkner@westlancs.gov.uk.
Meeting point for the course is Richmond Park's multi-use games area.
The Bikeability course has been organised by West Lancashire Borough Council’s Parks and Countryside Service.
