Two lovely gardens just north of Southport are opening their gates to the public for the first time this Sunday.
Although the garden at 6 Menivale Close (PR9 9RY) is on a 70s housing estate, garden owner Ann-Marie Hutson has created a cottage style garden, with seasonally themed brick edged island beds. In such a windy area, the garden is surrounded by neighbouring trees, cutting out the wild North westerlies.
The garden at 120 Roe Lane (PR9 7PJ) has been developed by owner Mavis Standing over 25 years, with diverse corners and wildlife in mind. It has an interesting and abundant mix of perennials, shrubs and succulents.
Both gardens are open from 11-5 for a combined admission of £3.50, children free. There will be plants for sale and afternoon teas will be served.

Oh, hasn't she done well having a nice garden despite living on a '70s housing estate'? Which mansion do you live in?
What snobbery. The lady obviously has a lovely garden, why put the place down?
Whereas the second garden isn't on a $h!thole housing estate, obviously.

I think this garden can be improved. For example, I would choose a better hedge trimmer and make the bushes and trees look beautiful. You can choose a trimmer on https://bestyardproducts.com/best-gas-hedge-trimmer/ and then your garden will look more beautiful
