Three bikes stolen from two shed burglaries in the Formby area this week have been recovered, thanks to a keen eyed member of the public who reported seeing the three bikes, hidden.

It's good news for the owners of the bikes, but Formby residents should be aware that shed burglaries are occurring again. To keep your property safe you should ALWAYS lock bikes securely, even when inside your shed/garage. Even better, add a shed alarm.

They don't have to be expensive. Just something to alert you that someone is on your property and allow you to dial 999 at the time. That way we have more chance of catching the offenders.

It's a way to keep your other property stored in sheds safe too.
