In Southport, plain clothed officers witnessed what they believed to be a drugs transaction taking place between a person and someone in a Fiat Doblo.
They consequently detained the two occupants in the van, a 53 year old man and a 43 year old man. The van was also searched where officers recovered approximately 250 wraps of suspected heroin and crack.
The driver also failed a drugs wipe. Therefore, both men were arrested for possession with intent to supply and taken to custody.
The pedestrian, a 54 year old woman, was arrested for possession of a controlled Class A drug.

Pity we can’t crush the vehicle with the scum inside, instead we will get some sort of sob story, the parasites will get a bit of a fine, few hours community work, which they won’t do and told not to do it again.

Drug supplying is rife in every town, and police are doing a good job in clearing the streets of these people, and then destroying all of the drugs that are siezed..Just a shame that anyone who knows these suppliers don't shop EVERY dealer they know who are supplying drugs to these addicts, but they are too scared to do so in case of retaliation against them..Personally I do NOT mind anyone using cannabis,as it only effects a person for around 2 hours, and does NOT make them aggressive, but in cases of Heroine and the like, then it has the opposite effect on the users, and in some unfortunate cases possible death, and it is these that should be wiped out from being available to all addicts, and ANY suppliers caught selling, they are given a very long sentence by the courts.

The war on drugs has been a global disaster. The Criminal justice system has proven to be no deterrent and you can guarantee that someone else will step straight in to the shoes of those arrested today. Legalisation/decriminalisation and associated harm reduction policies are the only successful way to deal with the problem, as proven by Portugal, the Netherlands, Switzerland and 26 other countries.
