A man wanted for multiple shop thefts in Southport town centre has been jailed after being found and stopped on Chapel Street by PCSO’s on patrol in the town centre.
Richard Caine (42) of a temporary address in Southport, was remanded in custody for shop theft and for failing to appear at court for previous offence. In addition to a custodial sentence Caine also has to compensate the stores to the value of £510.
The lifting of lockdown restrictions, allowing more retail stores to open will take place on Wed 2nd. This will see an increase in police patrols around our town centres, villages and other retail areas.
