The local CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) branch have organised a mild trail this May. The Southport Mild Trail gives people the chance to try a variety of different cask conditioned milds at eight of Southport’s best real ale pubs. The participating pubs are Beer Den in Duke Street, Bold Arms in Churchtown, Cheshire Lines in King Street, Corridor in Lord Street, Guest House in Union Street, Grasshopper in Sandon Road, Hillside, Southport & Birkdale Sports Club, Trafalgar Road and the Windmill Inn in Seabank Road.
The Southport & West Lancs CAMRA branch are running the Southport Mild Trail Tour this Friday 17th May 2019 starting at 6:00pm
This will be a guided tour of the Southport Mild Trail lead by CAMRA branch members. If you are interested in joining then please meet at The Grasshopper at 6:00pm. After enjoying some mild there and getting our cards stamped we will move on to the Southport & Birkdale Sports Cluband then on to the town centre pubs on the Mild Tail. We intend to make use of local transport, so, if you are lucky enough to have a Merseytravel card then please bring it along. You do not need to be a CAMRA member to participate. All are welcome.
People may undertake the Mild Trail on their own. Simply pick up a Southport Mild Trail card at any of the participating pubs. You will receive a stamp when you order a half or pint of mild at each pub. When you have collected stamps at all eight pubs then leave the card at the collection point at the pub and it will be included in our prize draw.
The Mild Trail runs until the 31st May 2019.
