We can confirm that manager Jim Bentley has today signed an extension to his contract until June 2026.

Peter Mitchell, speaking on Radio Merseyside this evening confirmed the great news for the club.

Jim said ” We have work to do here and the building blocks are in place and the foundations have been laid. I see a bright future for this club and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead and really pleased to have signed an extension that will give me the time to stamp my way of working across the club. I feel with Peter and the Big Help Group in place we can now move things forward and I’m looking forward with great optimism to what lies ahead. There is a real feel good factor here, the supporters and players have been great since I arrived and really welcomed me in. I’d like to thank Peter and everyone at Big Help for putting their trust in me and also thank Ian and Liam for bringing me to the club”
