Six patients have now died at Southport and Ormskirk hospitals after contracting coronavirus.

Having previously recorded no related deaths, Public Health England data shows six deaths have been reported today at Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust - without detailing in which of the hospital they occurred.
Coronavirus patients who require hospital treatment in the trust’s area, which covers an area spanning Formby, Southport and West Lancashire, are treated at specialist units at Southport.
Any children who develop serious complications as a result of coronavirus are likely to be transferred to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital rather than be treated at Southport or Ormskirk.

The figures cover deaths at the hospitals where patients have tested positively for the virus, not that it necessarily is the cause of death.

    Hospital PR statement:
'Thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate your responsible reporting of the current situation and recognise the intense public interest. However, we do not comment on individual patient cases or circumstances without good reason. Patients and their loved ones are entitled to privacy and it is our duty to respect that.

'The Department of Health and Social Care reports daily on the number of people tested, and negative and positive results. The NHS national communications team releases daily updates on the latest confirmed number of deaths.

'Finally, a digital dashboard is updated daily, showing reported cases of coronavirus in the UK, including new cases, cases by upper tier local authority in England and number of deaths.

'As the Chief Medical Officer has said, as coronavirus expands, the NHS will flex its response in line with well-established escalation plans. Hospitals have been advised on what next steps they need to take to respond to any outbreak. Staff are working round the clock to test and treat patients with coronavirus but the public can also play their part by following health advice, including washing their hands and covering their mouths when they cough or sneeze. If anyone is worried about symptoms, they can use the new NHS 111 online service for help and advice on coronavirus.'

Blaxall, rather than making things up and suggesting that people have died after contracting Coronavirus.

Stick to the facts from your own reporting!

The figures cover deaths at the hospitals where patients have tested positively for the virus, not that it necessarily is the cause of death.

And follow what the Hospital PR says about responsible reporting

Yes unfortunately six people have passed away, but passing away WITH Coronavirus is NOT the same as passing away FROM Coronavirus.

    Stick to the facts.

Same thing in Italy and Spain no one is looking at the one maybe up to four underlying conditions they had already and Covid just pushed them over the limit.

In fact with Italy they had the perfect storm:-

1: Second oldest population in the World after Japan
2: High % of smokers mainly men and men are the victims 2 to 1
3: Massive influx from China regards commerce, industry etc they just imported another thing COVID.
4: Nothing wrong in it, but they all like to hug & kiss on meeting each other.
