The Scouse Council have deterred shoppers from coming to the town to shop, they have now turned their attention to the holiday makers, there job is nearly finished.

Another golden goose about to have its neck wrung. Bootle Buffoons hammering another nail into the coffin which is Southport. Meanwhile they are employing new Executives on six figure salaries. Still, that’s Labour for you.

Would you prefer that they put up the Council Tax to cover the £9 million pound deficit or take on Joe from the pub to run what is in effect a multi million pound company.

The Council Tax IS being increased, by the maximum amount allowed 3.99%.
As for Executives on six figure salaries, I would imagine there are many many people who equally qualified who would happily do the job for a lot less.

Can you name any real people that fit the bill or are they just in your imagination?

It's cringeworthy when the Sefton Council sycophants try and justify bad decisions.

Can't see anyone defending the £8 charge to park on the beach. It's an outrageous amount.

When the Monster, that is Sefton was formed, Southport County Borough Council was one of the lowest rated county borough councils in the country, at the other end, Bootle Council was one of the highest rated councils in the country. Nothing changes when it comes to value for money.

In the early 80's I was talking to the former Southport Borough Engineer and I just happened to ask him what he thought of Sefton Council, his wife said Oh God you will get a tirade of abuse about that lot. The one thing that did enrage him more than anything was the fact, as he put it, that " Southport was a very well run Council operating well within it's means and at the time of re-organisation had £millions in reserve this was taken immediately to pay off some of the interest on Bootle Councils vast loans". Nothing changes does it Southport is the cash cow for Bootle.

Before the Bootillian spokesman comes on about Southport having Bootles Art Treasures give them back they are probably fake anyway.
