Two youths were stopped and questioned by police on Scarisbrick New Road this lunchtime.

An eyewitness said that the two teens were spoke to for a few minutes before officers let them on their way.

Officers also questioned a householder on Sefton St. at about one o' clock with three police cars seen at the address.

There's another of those '20' signs (nearest to Police car), that someone's tried to turn sideways....what odd hobbies some people have!

Bless him, he is slipping though he forgot to say a motorist got out of his/her car and shinned up the pole to turn it.

Just for his information there is a road sign (not a speed sign) on a lamp post near me which is turned. And what turned it was a large wagon coming on the pavement to deliver goods and nudging the sign round unwittingly.

But anything to do with speed and motorists his mind goes into overdrive
