Should hopefully qualify this idiot for a mandatory ban. Police must be having a crackdown. There where 3 cars and 4 officers on motorbikes positioned along the A5147 to catch them on the run up to the Scotch Piper in Lydiate.

I keep hearing a motorcyclist "razzing"his bike up and down Scarisbrick New Road, must be at least 3- 4 times every day he goes down there,as his exhaust is that loud.....And thats hearing him from the far end of Haig Avenue.

Only says he was clocked not caught.
He / she would easily be able to plead insanity and would get a lighter sentence dueto their ambition to be an organ donor.

I am surrounded by 20mph roads and several times a day you can hear motor bikes being screwed down these roads, I don't hold sway with the blanket 20 but neither do I want morons on motor bikes doing 3 or 4 times the speed limit. Is it any wonder they are the biggest %age of road casualties but apparently it is NEVER their fault.

Do you ever research any of your comments, or do you just make things up?

Like you, I don’t want ‘morons on motorbikes’ breaking the speed limit, I apply that across to all road users and I really doubt it’s 3 or 4 times the speed limit, but feel free to back your comments up with proof!

The biggest percentage of accidents involving motorcycles occur at T junctions, where drivers pull out, having not seen the riders, so in the majority of accidents it really ISN’T the motorcyclists fault. As for the biggest percentage of casualties, motorcyclists do make up about 18% of all killed or seriously injured, despite only making up around 1% of road traffic. Regardless of the cause of the accident, the high injury rate is due to the lack of protective features that other vehicles have.

If you go to RoSPA’s website, it’ll provide you with some real percentages you can post.
