With a bit of help from celebrity Dennis the Dachshund the Mayor, Cllr Clare Louise Carragher, officially opened the new Jollyes pet store at 10am this morning at Kew Retail Park.



It was certainly a celebrity style opening and Sandgrounder Radio were as well.



As well as performing the opening of the new store at Kew Retail Park Mayor Cllr Clare Louise Carragher also met these lovely people from lifestyle GA pet food partners. A company based in locally make healthy dog food and employ over 800 local people plus all their produce is grown in the local area. Pictured to the left of the Mayor is Roger Bracewell, Chairman of the group.



The Mayor also got to meet meet Dennis the Dachshund personally. Dennis is quite famous in Southport as often seen with his wheels to allow him to get out and about after suffering from a painful condition. We reported in full about Dennis a few days ago HERE
