Ice is starting to form on the surface of the Marine Lake as the cold spell continues this week. A Swan could be seen struggling to get through the ice to open water.

Marine Lake is salt water so has a lower freezing point, typically -2°c (28.4°f) but can be colder depending on salt content :)
