club are delighted to announce that the loans of Liam Edwards and Marcus Wood from Bolton Wanderers have been extended.

Liam, 22, and Marcus, 20, have both made big impressions in their two months with the club, playing important roles in the recent run of excellent results.

Liam, the Bolton U23 captain, has made 12 appearances in the centre of the defence since making his debut in the win at Kidderminster Harriers, helping the Port keep five clean sheets in those games.

Marcus has also been in outstanding form having joined in October, striking up a fine partnership in midfield with David Morgan during his 16 games.

"I’m delighted we’ve been allowed to extend the loan deals of Liam and Marcus. Both have been instrumental in the run of results and have both become popular within the dressing room."

    Liam Watson
We would also like to place on record again our thanks to Bolton for their continued support in extending the loan agreements.

Wouldn’t it be awful if he was to lose his place to a superstar, you know someone like yourself.

What a dickwad" statement you have just made, I assume you go to football matches and witness cry after cry from the terraces opinions like mine....that's football!!!

Or another way of putting it.. "Opinions are like arssseholes, every ones got on."

And my £160 season ticket goes to pay his wages albeit tiny in some way, so yes I can spout what I want.

No, the dickwad statement was all yours, and yes, I do go to football matches, and have been doing for nearly 60 years. Southport F.C. have played 10 games in the last 30 days or so, and Marcus Wood has played in nearly every one of them. Have you ever thought that he might just feel a little jaded after such a hectic schedule, or are you one of those, who having paid your £160, think it entitles you to watch world class winning performances, week in ,week out.

You see it's opinion that's all, I've been going 51, so what, opinion that's all. As for World Class performance.....it's Southport for God's sake. Hectic we can all say that, but many around me on Saturday were amazed that Woods stayed on!!!! And it's not the first time he's had a mediocre performance believe me, turns into trouble 9 times out of 10.
In his defence apart from the keeper the lot of them played a stinker

    But it's opinion that's all.
