The businesses in Houghton Street aren't impressed:-

The quote that summed it up for me, from a businessman in Houghton Street, was:-
“Yesterday, I only saw one cyclist in this area all day – and they were riding past along the pavement!

The policy for the pop up cycle lanes is from Central Government so nothing to do with the potholes (most of which seem to be the result of utilities companies, so therefore need to be addressed by them).
Your anger management issues seem to be coming out again, looking at your comments about baseball bats, maybe you should have a look in the mirror and consider who the looney is.
(And I'm still waiting on an update over your offer of a driving demonstration.....)

I'm a cyclist and used to use Hoghton Street regularly as it was fine as it was for cycling, without the new cycle lanes/bollards. (So much so that if going into town with my son, we'd go this way because it was much quieter/safer than the other routes).

Are these the same businesses that were constantly complaining about people parking parking on the Pay n Display blocking their access?

It is becoming increasingly embarrassing to reveal you're a cyclist with these horrible selfish people defending the indefensible led by the eco hypocrite and his acolytes.
This is people's livelihoods being damaged I could and did cycle along that street perfectly well before.
