Hope he's spoken to his mate Grayling before making statements he can do sod all about, also begs the question why did his buddies scrap the service in the first place?

He has very little say on the issue.
For it to run it has to be viable, common

And for the service to be viable, passengers have to be able to purchase a ticket and have the tickets collected at a destination - very often there is nowhere to purchase a ticket and no-one to check if a ticket has been purchased either!

Why all the negativity? Surely you all agree that Southport needs good transport links to prosper? We should be supporting any initiatives to improve both road and rail links.

He was banging on about this last year. Nothing happened. Expect nothing again.

If would actually DO something there would be plenty of support irrespective of political persuasion, dishing out PR soundbites doesn't count.
