Perhaps you could explain why Southport is doing so badly, when other councils have managed to maintain their districts in good order - and they have also received the same 'cuts'!
He is right! Southport needs to come out of Sefton! It is the only way that Southport will have a chance to improve.

There is money when the council needs to find money! Southport will improve if it was not tied into Sefton council where much of the local money raised goes to the Liverpool joint council. Areas to the south of Formby are far better supported financially than Southport!

That money most certainly did not come from The Strand - hell, it has a job holding its head above water! The money more than likely came from Heritage or Lottery funding!
