It was never really repaired. The council just chucked a shovel of tarmac in the depression and hoped for the best. Something deeper down needs fixing for a lasting repair.

    Try Untied Utilities.

If you want a cheap repair, then just patch the damaged pipe over, and then resurface the road....or,.. if you want a lasting repair....Fully excavate around the effected area to locate the pipework problem, fix and repair the pipework correctly, and when done,if it is possible to do so,put a pressure test on the joints, then, when testing the pipework has finished, backfill around the pipes with aggregate, and then resurface over the damaged road surface, sealing around the edges to the original tarmac correctly with molten tar.......It may take longer to repair correctly, but if a jobs worth doing.........

Quick question, why does the PNP appear to revel in any disruption to traffic? likes every single item which involves road closure, even on more than one occasion after an accident.

Why don't United Utilities just get the job done?? These things just seem to get left longer and longer causing more and more disruption.

If it's United Utilities fault you can carry on being delayed. It has shareholders to think about first.

    Temporary traffic lights would help.
To cut costs presumably there is a simple Give Way To Oncoming Traffic sign which generally is being ignored by traffic heading towards Kew.

ROFL. The irony. Errm, wouldn’t that be GSS then? Maybe it’s infectious, you should get tested for it, I’ve long had my suspicions about you.
Edit- You can edit your post, unfortunately it doesn’t alter my copy and pasted version lol.

Road now closed between Kew roundabout and Haig Avenue, access from Kew roundabout.

Very busy at the roundabout, Scarisbrick New Road and Haig Avenue due to diversion, relatively simple solution to ease traffic, open up Foul Lane!
