Southport Football club are pleased to announce that an agreement has been reached to extend Jordan Archer’s loan from Bury to the end of the 2018/19 season.

Jordan joined from the EFL League Two club on an initial two-month loan in November, making seven starts and five appearances as substitute, scoring on four separate occasions.

The 24-year-old found the target with a header in the 3-0 the win at Hereford, before scoring against his former club, Chester, in the Buildbase FA Trophy replay. He was also among the goals as the Port progressed in the Lancashire FA Challenge Trophy at Garstang and most recently scored at the weekend with a last minute equaliser against Nuneaton, which was his first in front of the home crowd.

Jordan signed a two-year contract with Bury at the start of this season and has also spent time on loan at Maidenhead United earlier on in the campaign.

"Jordan has fitted in well since joining us. He is another great option in attack and has already contributed with some really good goals and performances. It’s of mutual benefit to extend his loan here and I’m glad we’ve been able to get it done."
