Over fifty years of trading has ended for Southport's Christian bookshop on Wesley St.
It closed its doors for the last time on Saturday; following the retirement of original owner Geoff Ellis, Cuan (pictured right with a volunteer) and his wife Laura took the business over along with its popular café.
Cuan is now helping a friend with his landscape gardening business; it's not known what the future holds for the premises.

Oh well, not to worry. I’m sure all their old customers will be able to find similar works of fiction amongst the Fairy Tale and Fantasy sections in the other great book shops in this town.

Was there really any need for that, you are just showing your ignorance and why the world needs more people of faith and not less, everyone is free to believe what they wish. The shop has been an integral part of Wesley street for many many years and will be missed.

Absolute rubbish - the world needs less people of faith, if only to restrict the hate and bigotry promoted under the blanket cover of peace and love.

It's sad to see that this fifty year partnership has ended. These guys must have loved working with each other. People who write edu birdie reviews could never involve themselves in a partnership like this. This is the best partnership of all time.

Thanks for sharing this final chapter about the Southport Christian book shop and café with us. Once I complete my fake college diploma, I'll share this complete story with my friends. They will appreciate me a lot for this.
