Damien Leads All Male Tory Approach to Coming Voting



Southport's Conservative MP Damien Moore is spearheading a new masculine approach to the town's politics. In a glossy leaflet distributed in a local free Newspaper just before nominations close for candidates for the Council, Damien is photographed full page heading up an all male campaign team.


This approach could yield dividends with the votes of the growing ex-patriot Saudi and Somali community in Southport in May's council elections.


Conservatives have not had any female councillors elected in Southport since the late Pat Ball was voted in in Dukes Ward in 2011. The picture above suggests that they may have abandoned their hopes to find a new Brenda Porter.

At least we know we can’t attribute this hatchet job to Cllr Dawson as maybe he’d think the same depending on how you read into it?

It is unfortunate that, despite all sorts of societal pressures, women in the UK, especially those with young children, are still generally more sensible and considerate to their families than are men but I hold it to be true.

Could this have been why he let down his party and colleague Cllr Maguire in that not even he could vote for the Lib Dem’s thus letting Damien in as if a political mastermind like Dawson won’t vote for her then why would any of the uniformed do so?

i don’t particularly like any of the parties but do dislike the race to the bottom politics that are played at the cost of our town and how the Lib Dem’s brush under the carpet that they’ve squandered and wasted all the time we’ve given them to do good for the town rather than just create bitterness and resentment to others.
