The DVLA are out and about in Southport clamping untaxed vehicles. This car was clamped in Bibby Road.
Release Fees
If your vehicle has been wheel clamped or removed (impounded) because it is non-compliant you will need to purchase vehicle tax and then make a payment of the relevant release fees. These are outlined below.
You must pay a surety fee (deposit) if you do not tax the vehicle before you get it released. The surety fee (deposit) will also need to be paid if you intend to keep the vehicle on SORN or make a SORN.

When you can tax your vehicle on line and you get reminders there is no excuse for having an untaxed vehicle.

And if you can’t afford to run a car or pay the £200-£300 to get it released, get on your bike or use the bus.

Well if that's the case there are a couple near me who got clamped yesterday they have a BMW each and a works van.

Hm, interesting, are there insurance programs which can cover clamping cases? I believe there are no but it's better to check it out. By the way, there are so many interesting aspects related to car insurance. For example, on this webpage https://www.cheapautoinsurance.com/a...er-tire-damage you can figure out if car insurance covers tire damage or not.
