Over the past few days officers from Southport Community Police Team have been working with partner agencies at the Sefton Crucial Event in Formby.
Crucial Crew is a personal safety educational programme aimed at Key Stage 2 pupils in Year 6 of primary school (10 and 11-year-olds).
The event is held over 4-days coordinated in conjunction with Sefton Council Travel Awareness & Safety Team, with pupils from schools across Sefton attending.
Attendees receive personal safety and crime prevention messages from key partners, including Merseyside Police and Merseyside Fire & Rescue.
The sessions are well received by the pupils and staff, who take key learning's & safety messages away with them. Our staff enjoy the sessions and are often overwhelmed by the positivity displayed by the pupils and some of the interesting questions they ask.
