It's best known as Lancashire's oldest Inn - but now Lydiate's Scotch Piper has another claim to fame.
And an Italian car night which started there by chance back in May 2014 has grown and grown to be one of the most popular classics meetings in the area.
Said founder Andy Shaw: "After the popularity of the Italian car night, I invited American owners to come along and it soon grew.
"I intended to knock back from weekly to monthly over the first winter but people wanted to keep it going so we did."
There's always an eclectic mix of cars and their owners there - and it's all free of charge. Refreshments are laid on inside and outside the pub and there's always a great atmosphere.
In fact, it's recently been voted one of the UK's top 30 local classic clubs in a readers' poll in 'Practical Classics' during 2019, finally making it into the top ten and featured in the September issue.
"We often meet up at other classic shows and meets. During the summer Sundays there's a fairly local meet somewhere that many of us attend for breakfast.
"We have runs out, weekends away and always have an organised drive around on National 'Drive It Day.'" added Andy, pictured with his Fiat X1/9
If you're a classic car fan - I took my Rover 45 Connoisseur V6 and FIAT Cinquecento on successive weeks (RB) - meetings are held every Monday evening from around 6.00pm and every third Sunday of the month from around 12.30pm at the Scotch through winter and summer - including Christmas week … unless Christmas Day falls on a Monday or the third Sunday.
