Christ the King Catholic High School are raising money for Southport lifeboat by holding the Great Bus Challenge.
Mr Oliver and Mrs Durkin raced the 714 bus from school to Crossens in a two part running relay.
They did it! Well done to Mrs Durkin and Mr Oliver who successfully beat the bus.
Mrs Durkin started the race from school and ran approximately 5k to Mr Oliver who took over at the fire station in the town centre. Mr Oliver finished the race with 4 minutes to spare before the bus arrived at the Crossens final stop.
The pair have raised over £850 for Southport Lifeboat. Many thanks to all those who have contributed and also to driver Steve and crew at the Cumfy bus company.
