Officers were called to Carnforth Station yesterday where they found a confused elderly male. He had travelled from Preston but had been trying to get back to Southport.

The officers transported him to his home where his carer was waiting.

This is getting ridiculous the other week someone wanted to go to Birmingham and they put him off at Crewe.
