Detectives in Liverpool are appealing for information following an assault in the city centre in the early hours of Sunday, 13 January.


It is thought that at around 2.45am, the 30-year-old victim was inside Reminiss bar, Temple Court when she was assaulted by a woman. The offender hit the victim with a glass bottle causing a fractured skull, a cut to the head and concussion. A short time later the victim’s friend was also assaulted by a man, in company with the woman, who punched her to the face. The victim received a small cut to the wrist as a result of this assault.
Both women have been left distressed by their ordeal.
Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed this altercation, which is believed to have taken place on the dance floor of the bar, to get in contact.
CCTV from the bar and surrounding area has been examined.

- Two people, a 30-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man, both from Litherland, were arrested in connection with this incident. Both have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
