Help Please is it difficult to fix fibre broadband . We have just added talk talk broadband to our Sky package. can anybody tell me
is it just changing modems over. Any help thank you Pegleg x

Don't understand exactly what you mean by "just added Talk Talk to our Sky package" although am assuming you HAD Sky broadband and are now moving to Talk Talk broadband.

Generally, when you change provider, they will send you a new modem/router and will give you a date that the new service will start.

On that date, you simply swap your old/existing router out, replacing it with the new one provided.

It's as simple as that.

Thanks that is good news . We already have sky t v but have changed
our talktalk broadband to Sky broadband. it looked a bit complicated in the booklet so hopefully on the 19th [the changeover ] we will change our router and be set to go.

If you just have your sky box connected, it will simply be a matter of disconnecting three cables (power, ADSL in, LAN out) from the back of your old router and plugging them into your new router.

if you have other devices connected, there may be more than one LAN Out cable (e.g. to your PC, SmartTV, games console etc).

Obviously the power cable will be unique to each router, and disconnect from power when changing the cables, but if you do the ADSL/LAN cables one at a time (disconnecting from old then reconnecting into corresponding socket on new router) you should be ok.

Also worth mentioning is that if you run anything in your home off wifi, the new router will have a new id and password that you will need to change on each wifi'd device.

The new password/s are usually to be found on a label, stuck on the underside of the modem.

Hi it was easy to fit like you said BUT it didn't work fault was broken wire in open reach box. Working now thanks to Sky and open reach,and your reply,s
