    Who has COVID-19 in Southport?

Started with a cough on Tuesday evening, my temperature rose slightly yesterday and I had muscle aches from yesterday evening.

I have to say, for me, I've felt a lot worse from a case of flu. Halfway through my second day and I don't feel it getting any worse, in fact, I think I'm starting to feel better.

    Anyone else?

I know it's serious and people are dying from it, but from my experience, I fail to see what the fuss is about.

    Stay safe everyone.

I also know of someone who had a cough, muscle ache, headaches and who felt very tired. But then again, he had spent a few days at his girlfriends house, possibly with very little sleep and the day before he felt 'ill 'he had a two hour hard work out in a gym where the swimming pool had been highly disinfected. It lasted 24 hours of bed rest!

I'm glad to hear that you're not getting any worse and think you're feeling better.

It might not be Covid-19, I hope that it isn't, but if it is you will be carrying a contagious disease. As you say, people are dying from it. You would be running the risk of infecting people in a high risk group... and that's what the fuss is about. If you don't think it's necessary to be assessed/tested, it might be wise to self isolate. Not everyone will be as fortunate as you.

    Take care of yourself.

Sounds more like very average, very minor cold, BUT if you suspect it is civic 19, you should be isolated from everyone, hope it doesn't progress and turns out to be nothing of importance.

I do appear to have the standard set of symptoms. Obviously I wouldn't want to pass it on to anyone and I am isolating on the advice of my GP.

Let's get it done, recover, then I can go out and help others.

    Stay safe.

Very odd. Hopefully, it was just a malicious, attention-hungry weirdo: best case, scenario, I'm afraid.

Probably got mental health issues. Hopefully. I can see there being a lot more of this kind of behaviour in the coming months.

My SIL, who lives nearby and works as a waitress, handling money, chatting up close to people, popped round last night. She doesn't like it that I make her wash her hands when she comes in. Sat there for 20 minutes coughing. Then declared 'I think I've got it'. I wasn't best pleased as she was interrupting the last episode of 'Hunters'. I was furious when she came up with that gem.

She's now barred from the house. And I'm a whole can of Dettol down. You expect that kind of idiot behaviour from strangers, not family. Then again...

Think on folks. We all like to make light of serious things. It's the British way. But this really is deadly.

What are people going to do on Mother's Day?

Even visiting grave yards has been limited in Continental Europe.

A great many grandma's are in the over 40 never mind over 70 at risk groups it still needs consideration.

I've told mine not to come round. They'll bring the little petri dishes that are the grandkids with them. They're not daft, they understand the situation. We'll Facetime and talk still. They've already sent prezzies and cards, and they can't really take me out for lunch, so I've no use for them

But on a serious note, it is sad that people can't get together. It is for the best though.

What sort of cough - is it a wet or dry cough? Seriously.

The death toll is getting higher over here 2 deaths per 1,000,000 it may soon catch up with deaths caused by Polar bears in Algeria. But the 6 hours a day about the virus on tv doesn't tell us that Britain has become a nation of selfish pig ignorant morons who don't give a flying f *^k about the elderly or the disabled and carry on pillaging as many supermarkets as possible.

It started as a feeling of tightness in the middle of my chest/ribs and it is generally a dry cough. I may be producing some phlegm, but it is dry.

Talking is making me tend to cough more, but it's not a cough where it makes you become breathless.

    That's my symptoms so far.
