    Visiter still being published.

I see that the Visiter is soldiering on - even though the Champion has called it a day. That will certainly be a relief for the Labour Party who can rely on the Midweek Visiter as a party political tool. Bill Esterson and Labour councillors generally feature significantly on most pages.
In todays paper Mr Esterson is promoting the Citizens Advice Bureau, who do a great job in giving advice and help people in many ways. It just so happens that in the photo on the Visiter front page Mr Esterson is standing alongside a Citizens Advice banner stating "Helping People Find A Way Forward". Could it be a coincidence that most people will assume that tag refers to Bill Esterson rather than Citizens Advice?
    Subtlety doesn't come into it.

No doubt some of those countries do have a small number of cases, particularly countries like the Bahamas who have regular tourist connections and flights into America. What these countries don't have is a media obsessed with whipping up frenzy and a population that are gullible enough to take it all in.
Yes people have died who had tested positive, but that isn't to say that they have died from coronavirus, as many of them were already not in good health or elderly. Many more have died over the same period from flu, heart attacks, strokes and a multitude of other illnesses.
It is the media who are driving the government and responsible for the inevitable downturn in our economy.
I predict that the whole subject will have blown over in 4 weeks time when the people become bored with the saturation media coverage and start to live their lives again.
The BBC will then have to decide what they will target as their next panic item. Probably return to the Climate Emergency - there's still mileage in that.

Let's see how that prediction holds up.

Check back in folks, on the 16th April 2020. With the whole thing blown over and fine by then.

How would you say that prediction of yours is standing up?

MPs spend much of their time campaigning. I see Damien Moore's got himself inserted into Q Local's news roundup.
