It is Passover this week as well.
Celebrating the Passover did not go well for Jesus, although it proved a good career move.

That is going to confuse the Labour Party.

Resurrection. It's real meaning " NEW DAY" as it states in the Lords Prayer. The original version direct from the Aramaic (the language of Christ) " from age to age it renews " not for ever and ever "

Religion .... with a history lesson a bit of logic and without the dogma and superstitions is a fabulous journey. Happy Easter and lets not forget Passover.

Yet according to the Quran, Muslims are as Christian, if not more so, than the British. Muslims do not celebrate Easter as they do not recognise Jesus as being crucified on the cross - they believe that Jesus overcame Satan and was not killed at Easter. It has been stated:

"“Without the cross, there is no Christianity, and with the cross there is no Islam.” - and no, I do not have a link for this statement as it was told to me by a Muslim here in the UK.

The Quran states that "Our God and your God is One, and unto Him we surrender" (29.46) meaning that Muslims worship the same God as Jews and Christians. So Muslims attacking Christians purely for faith, makes no sense.

Isis confuses many Muslim people because various reported activities of this claimed terrorist group, conflict with Muslim beliefs in general. Their activities do not conform with either of the two main groups Sunni or Shia. The photographs of them and the published footage of them do not appear to represent Muslims accurately. This is reported by the Muslims themselves.

There is conflict in all Arab states between various factions of Muslims - one group does assume superiority over the other main group. This same tension has spilled over and is increasing in the UK since the numbers of the different factions of Muslims have increased here. But the tension is not created from religious beliefs, just as the tension in Ireland was not. - again, there is no link for this since the above facts arose during discussions within a Muslim group here in the UK.

    I disagree.

The phrase you need is 'Abrahamic religions'.

    Quote
"The unifying characteristic of Abrahamic religions is that all accept the tradition that God revealed himself to the patriarch Abraham.[92] All are monotheistic, and conceive God to be a transcendent creator and the source of moral law.[93] Their religious texts feature many of the same figures, histories, and places, although they often present them with different roles, perspectives, and meanings.[94] Believers who agree on these similarities and the common Abrahamic origin tend to also be more positive towards other Abrahamic groups.[95]

In these four Abrahamic religions(Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Bahai Faith), the individual, God, and the universe are highly separate from each other. The Abrahamic religions believe in a judging, paternal, fully external god to which the individual and nature are subordinate. One seeks salvation or transcendence not by contemplating the natural world or via philosophical speculation, but by seeking to please God (such as obedience with God's wishes or his law) and see divine revelation as outside of self, nature, and custom."

Religion is a mix of history tradition folklore and human nature.
Religions evolve by their capacity to hold onto adherents and advertise their difference to other religions making them more of a statement.

The least celebrity and achieving 'sects' dress and practice the most 'notice me'.
Those with the least joy in sharing the life of the free behave the most brutally.

Religious beliefs are only a background to how human nature has evolved.
The majority of peoples from all religious backgrounds choose to follow man made laws.

I cannot speak from any religion other than my own in this one point.
I do know that given only a short time to live long held religious views on whether god exists or not do not change.

However those who kept up their strict religious practices spent a lifetime following such as eating only Kosher foods/not driving on holy days/going to Shul every service are often abandoned as having no meaning or importance anymore.

Tip for the future: When you C&P text from a site, and the font differs from the rest of your post, it's a clue that it might have been copied. Of course you could claim that you used HTML font tags to change the font yourself, but you haven't. Looky here. When I copy the text from the site, I get exactly the same small font as in your post.

They reject the cross for these reasons: theologically it need not happen; morally it should not happen; historically it did not happen. As someone succinctly put it: “Without the cross, there is no Christianity, and with the cross there is no Islam.” This article suggests that by building on what is known of Christ in the Qur’an, Christians can lead Muslims to consider God’s plan of redemption in the Bible. Jesus had to die and Easter is God’s vindication. We have a message of hope for Muslim friends.

Why lie? There’s no shame in getting information via Google. Nobody is expected to be an authority on absolutely everything.
