Southport Locations In TV Shows
Don't ask how I found this, but here's Rookery Road and the big greenhouse at Hesketh Park in a episode of Chucklevision from 1990.

Anyone got any other Southport locations to show?

Can’t find the clips anywhere but there was a Norman Wisdom film called ‘What’s Good For The Goose’ filmed a lot around Southport.
Also a crackin’ drama called Utopia on Channel 4 had a breakfast scene in TC’s Cafe.

One Summer
Remember the 1980's drama One Summer with a young David Morrissey?
Some of that was filmed in Southport.
There was also a film called Mr Love from 1985 which was filmed here too, then there was a short lived 90's comedy called Luv that used locations in Marshside and the town centre.

There was an ITV drama last year based in Manchester, one of the characters went down south but the seaside town she supposedly went to looked very familiar.

'Noble', a decent independent film which got very limited distribution in this country has its 'chip shop' scene filmed on Lord Street. (With several people I know as extras.)

Hammer House of Horrers were considering makeing an adaptation of Tales From The Crypt a few years ago. Useing the Fog Horn Bar and employing the regulars as extras for some of the scenes. But the producer decided even the most ardent horror movie fan would find it too disturbing.
