I'm sorry to start another Brexit thread, but this has now become the fastest growing petition ever, and now has more than 1.2 million signatures:

Note: the site keeps crashing, presumably due to demand. That should get the conspiracy theories going!

It stands no chance anyway. Westminster would put it on the table if there were sufficient votes and then into the waste bin.

If the petition gets enough signatures MPs will have to take note, much is made of the reaction of leave voters should Brexit not go according to plan, remember there are almost as many remain voters totally pi??ed off with the whole damn thing.

That's a catch-all phrase when a site goes down.

And the conspiracy bit is that the most fervent 'Remoaners' will say that the government are deliberately taking the site down so as to stop it getting more votes. I assume your post was for me even though you quoted said's post. Must have been the red mist lol

1. I did not know that.

2. I don't think the Gov would do that.
Some things are better left to be thoroughly battered by abuse.

A site is already reporting that it attracted votes from North Korea and Afghanistan.

Bit late in the day to be starting petitions. In any case, Gov't will never just revoke out of the blue, or there'd be absolute uproar in the country. There would have to be a Peoples Vote first, with a majority to remain....but that would take time, requiring a longer extension. Can't see it happening tbh - but wish it would!

The Government Petition website for “Revoke Article 50” keeps crashing as it has become inundated by people who want to sign the petition to revoke Article 50. At the last count there were nearly one and a half million signatories to the petition and that’s in just a day or so, and it’s climbing. 1,600 people signing every minute! These are genuinely concerned and clued up people who can see where this Brexit fiasco is going and want to stop it dead.

Now that the media have got hold of it, it's taken off.
