Generally once Article 50 has been set in motion - it would be very impractical to revoke it. It would appear that the media have all jumped on this new drama. It would require every EU member agreeing to the move - considering that only the Lisbon Treaty deals with this issue, and that not every member of the EU signed this treaty, it could be very complex. The move would require an act of Parliament to be passed, and a new agreement with the EU would need to be agreed with the other member states, which could create a protectionist market between the UK/EU members. It would probably include the UK entering into the Eurozone.

This petition if it reached the right level of GENUINE individual votes, would be put forward for a motion. End of. The majority of Remainer's have recognised that such a move would be self defeating.

The Revoke petition has been running for a couple of days while the No Deal has been going since October. Hardly a fair comparison.

Liam Fox is a very worried man - new trade deals are not going well.

The EU - Japan deal which is already reducing tariffs will see it more beneficial for Japanese car manufacturers to build cars in Japan and export to Europe. Goodbye Nissan, Honda and Toyota in the UK.

Yes, to be clear, this petition is to revoke article 50, not postpone!
In other words, forget the whole sorry mess, not be railroaded into something we didn't vote for (and that applies to remainers and many leavers alike).
Let's put it behind us and get on with more important things!

No, and I wouldn't be campaigning for this if the govt. had negotiated a good deal. This is to save us from a bad deal or no deal scenario!
