"We have oneThe Big Print: one weekend to shield the NHS
This is our moment. This is your chance to save lives. The NHS needs your help.

Next Easter weekend is predicted to be the big peak for the Coronavirus crisis. The government has only yesterday decided to recommend that every healthcare worker coming near suspected cases should wear PPE. Too late. The supply chain is only just getting up to speed. People need protection, in the most critical locations, ASAP. That’s where you come in.

We’re challenging you to print as much as you can, this weekend. We’re offering reimbursement of £1 ready for pickup on Monday.

There are 4800+ of us.

If everyone sent in just 15 prints early next week, we could deliver nearly 80,000 face shields to the most urgent locations. They’ve ordered from us. They want what you’ve made now.

We know the focus for many of you is local. We know you’re waiting for the visors so you can make ones for your community. But if we wait, the places where the need is urgent will struggle next weekend.

Next weekend, the NHS needs PPE in it’s hospitals urgently. That’s where we’ll see healthcare workers die if we don’t help now. By shipping centrally, we can get more face shields to the hospitals near you faster than if we organised it locally. If we wait to get the visors out to you locally, it will be too many steps involved.

So this is the plan: ship your prints to our central location ASAP. By Easter weekend we’ll have given much more protection to the most vital key workers, those at highest risk right now. Then we go back to our communities and supplying visors locally.

Please remember to follow the SOP and make great prints. Don’t cheap out. Do the right thing for the people on the front-line.
