Just out of curiosity - what was the result the quiz answer gave to you? I am just naturally suspicious, is all.

My result was roughly a triangle with Leeds, Manchester and Preston at the corners. I was brought up in Glossop, Derbyshire on the edge of the result.

I did! I got Preston and Manchester with a touch of Ireland. I thought the answers may have all turned out to be the same - but it appears they are not.

The whole of Wales including the Wirral. My ancestry is wholly Welsh but I was born and brought up in Southport. So they weren't far off.

Generally right for me as well although the area shown ranged from N Lancashire down to mid wales. I was born and bred a Sandgrinder

pretty accurate as I grew up very much in rural West Lancs.

I did think it was a cheat and somehow picking location details from our ip addresses, I did it again using VPN connecting to a server in the Netherlands and it gave the same result.

Spot on for me,mostly Manchester and abit of Stoke on Trent.
