Septic finger getting worse. Tried Docs but told to go to A&E instead. Nearest is Chorley and having had relatives there recently a nice little hospital, well not so little.

Triage in 2 minutes and out after 23 minutes total, lanced, puss out, bandaged, and prescription.

Good triage system and obviously I could be seen by a nurse not a doc. Turnover seemed to be going pretty quickly from the waiting room.

All new layout in there and rooms etc, good improvements since I was last there.

Pleasant to hear a positive story about the NHS.

I recently had to visit A&E at Southport in the middle of the night. My sister took ill. Even at stupid o'clock in the morning, they were stretched.

Did a great job with my sister, but I felt so sorry for them.

Yes there is a mixed picture in the NHS and the idea promulgated by the Labour party that it is suffering everywhere through austerity is not true.

I have visited Southports Hospital dozens of times in the last few years and know it is often that the minority is letting down the hard working majority.

For all its faults the NHS is brilliant , and the people who work in it are brilliant people . I'm have experienced at this time and can only admire the doctors , nurses, porters , cleaners , administrators, the are all amazing .
