Instead of posting a link to facebook which contains a link to a dubious OTS News item why not put the details in your own words?

We already have Southport councillors who don't live in their wards and who don't reply to their constituents so this has to be an improvement.

So that you can actually see what was said as opposed to it being hearsay!
Salus populi, I can't see calling constituents clowns and 'oh saintly one' is much of an improvement.

He's not been elected so they aren't his constituents but, no it's not a good way of communicating with voters even if they are halfwits.

Just a quick question, do we get to vote in the Euro elections, if so when are the polling cards sent out?

It would be far better if all councilors were born and bred in the constituency or very near constituency, in which they serve. Most certainly those born in or close to a large city have very little understanding of rural or sea side resort areas as has been proven. By communicating on line, distant councilors have the time and opportunity to check up on the details that they have no knowledge of and thus give a false impression of their true sympathies.

On that site it is stated:
"“Elections are a cornerstone of our democracy. Yet hundreds of thousands of people are being denied the chance to exercise their most basic democratic right and have their say on who represents them.“For these potential voters, democracy has been cancelled, and they are going totally unheard. It is frankly a disgrace in the 21st century for parties to have landed 300 seats without a single ballot being cast. Around 850,000 potential voters in England live in wards where a party or individual is guaranteed a seat – weeks before polling day.
Surely this is not fair? As it is, this year there will be a large number of protest votes, with both Labour and Conservative losing many votes - but due to the above effect one of those will win overall.

New delete Brexit date is 19th October 2019, now! As agreed between Labour and Conservative collaboration.

But if we don't exit by the end of May we have to hold elections for the new Parliament.

Yes, Merkel was not happy about that - but the situation was that if we have to keep holding on, the UK had no say in any of the EU parliamentary decisions even if it affects the UK directly - the EU was served with a legal document from the UK stating that we have the right to representation.

I just hope we do get out in May - the delays are devastating to the UK causing uncertainty in the markets.

You've got it the wrong way around. The EU has always been adamant that if the UK was granted an extension after May 23, the UK would have to hold European Parliament elections in May.

"The UK request for an extension to 30 June was based on the view that UK participation in the EP elections could be avoided given that the new Parliament does not sit for the first time until 2 July. However, advice from the European Commission warned of the risk of a scenario whereby the UK then sought a longer extension after 23 May or decided to revoke Article 50 without then having representation in the EP and with some of the UK’s Parliament seats having been reallocated. The Commission warned that the failure to organise EP elections in the UK could make the constitution of the new European Parliament illegal and result in subsequent EU decisions being open to legal challenge. Failure to participate in the EP elections would also see the UK in breach of EU Treaty Articles relating to the rights of EU citizens to vote in EP elections.

The above was published on March 22, after May's first extension request. May didn't acknowledge that the UK was legally bound to hold EP elections until her second extension request in April.
