Is China hiding COVID-19 death toll? 21 million cell phones disappeared,

    An interesting factual article !

21 million cell phone accounts in China were cancelled after coronavirus
840,000 landlines were closed in China
This sudden drop suggests a very high Coronavirus death toll

Look at the video - it really is an eye opener.

Health Lancet editor says NHS was left unprepared for Covid-19

Richard Horton, editor, writing in [The Lancet] :
“ The UK Government's Contain–Delay–Mitigate–Research strategy failed. It failed, in part, because ministers didn't follow WHO's advice to “test, test, test” every suspected case. They didn't isolate and quarantine. They didn't contact trace. These basic principles of public health and infectious disease control were ignored, for reasons that remain opaque. The UK now has a new plan—Suppress–Shield–Treat–Palliate. But this plan, agreed far too late in the course of the outbreak, has left the NHS wholly unprepared for the surge of severely and critically ill patients that will soon come.”

There have been a large number of facilities both here and in the USA that have been carrying out regular research on the possible outcomes of a pandemic since 2013. Many reports have been published on the internet. Talks and discussions with top experts in both security and the medical field, and also with the general public have taken place and computer simulations have been carried out repeatedly. The only unknown factor in all these expected scenarios has been the human element.

Richard Horton is unfortunately trying to make a name for himself and prey on the witless to do it, just how any country is supposed to suddenly test every suspected case for a new virus he doesn't explain.

Coughing, temperatures and other associated symptoms are quite the norm at this time of year.

Wouldn't it be better if he did something more constructive ?

Thumbs down …yes; but what is your point, exactly?

…and government chose to ignore the advice with the consequence that it was on the back foot when the contagion spread out of China.

Are you attempting to deflect the observation that the government was advised and it ignored that advice? Why so? Is your ideological commitment fragile?

Meanwhile, local chooses to traduce the messenger!
"Richard Horton is unfortunately trying to make a name for himself and prey on the witless to do it, …"

That's low, even for an ideologue.
