How does YOUR mind work
Let's just suppose one day - there was a warning, it was published in the press, that in two years time there was going to be a massive electrical storm caused by a build up of electricity in the atmosphere, sufficient to bring down all communication appliances. This electric storm we will call Euclid. To make it more convincing - this was claimed after a global meeting of all the heads of state.
Would you:
a) Consider this to be false news
b) Since it has been claimed by all heads of state - would you accept that they knew far more than you do
c) Just sit back and wait for it to happen, if it does
d) Take other action
How do you react to such news?
Then - exactly as predicted there was a massive storm, which they called Euclid, and it did bring all communications down just as the heads said it would:
How would you accept that? Would you
a) Consider that the heads were highly knowledgeable people
b) Think it was just a coincidence
c) That the heads of state had somehow acted to cause the storm
d) Other ideas

Well that is one solution - but how it affects communications I am not sure!

How would they know if there was going to be an electrical storm two years away when they can only just predict the weather tomorrow.

In 2 years time a lot of people would still have plenty left so the shortage would not be as great !

Why would a massive electrical storm wipe out ALL communications?
Unless the only communication people had was BBC Overseas...

Wait until it is all over.
Why would it bring down all appliances when it will hit the earth as heat?

Oh, he's not going to start up about 'HAARP', is he?
It's a conspiracy theory, nothing more. Outside the realms of our scientific knowledge. And it's been shut for years.

Hi Mick - it is a hypothetical question to find out how people would react to such a scenario.

No - absolutely nothing to do with studies of the ionosphere. It is just a question out of the blue. It could have been storms, floods, an asteroid crashing etc., It is just how people would accept or react, that's all!
