Let's just suppose one day - there was a warning, it was published in the press, that in two years time there was going to be a massive electrical storm caused by a build up of electricity in the atmosphere, sufficient to bring down all communication appliances. This electric storm we will call Euclid. To make it more convincing - this was claimed after a global meeting of all the heads of state.
Ignore the above guff.
How do you react to such news? Would you:- Consider this to be false news
- …would you accept that [heads of state] knew far more than you do
- Just sit back and wait for it to happen, if it does
- Take other action
Instead, speculate what our said is trying (in his preposterous way) to illuminate.
My guess is he is attempting to flush out the gullible among us — those who will admit to being swayed by authoritative sources. said him (/her)self would of course, take other action, namely: create miasma.

That would solve it fairly easily.
I don't think he's expecting sensible answers.

Fair point! To be honest I don't know what I would do - I guess I would have to know more about it before I decided.
