Very few chippies here in Norway - maybe one or two only - and a long way from where I live. So I suggest you do what I do. Make your own. It's not exactly rocket science. I do it at least a couple of times a month. And I am an old man! So you have no excuse.

Ha ha - I've never cosidered the word "couple" to be limited to two (except in the case of a pair that are wed). But do you make battered fish three times a month? I fry my own from scratch. Maybe you use fish fingers?

I like fish fingers, hash browns cooked under the grill with homemade onion sauce, one of my favourite meals

I have an air fryer, great chips with less than a teaspoon of oil. Not a lover of battered fish so I make fish cakes.

Which brand does every one favour?

The best I have tried are Mc Cain's Triple Cooked Gastro.

    For a healthier chip.

Chip your potatoes, steam for 10 minutes then toss in 2 tablespoons of oil, put in the oven 180°c for 30 minutes shake/turn halfway.

We're getting a fascinating insight into the habits of our roving reporter lately.
Going for a drive just for the sake of driving, drinking too much alcohol to get to sleep and now craving fish and chips.
I hope he's getting plenty exercise to counteract this unhealthy lifestyle. The NHS is burdened enough at the moment.
