Seems to be the coming thing, torching moors whenever there's a period of dry weather. Some members of the population appear to be bent on environmental vandalism - I can't believe it's all been down to just one person.

Would be well worth employing a few fire-wardens, to stand watch at vulnerable locations. Far less costly than repeatedly tackling the aftermath.

Walking on the Moors and around Reservoirs before the heat wave we noticed a few disposable Barbecue Tray's discarded in bins despite the clear warnings not to use.

The Calf Hey Reservoir in Haslingdon had a ruined wooden picnic table with a Barbecue tray melted in the centre.

It is hard to imagine a grown adult bothering with such escapism in a hot meal.
If Teenagers are buying them why is there not an age limit?

All barbeque's in public areas should be banned anyway. Why on earth would people need to eat hot food on a hot day?? Is it the lemming scenario that people follow? What the hell is wrong with a sandwich or something like that?

    Exactly!

There should be an age restriction to buy them at least.
