    Bury FC.

Looks like they could expelled from the FL today , what a great shame , they have struggled financially for some time , I was wandering would it be possible for PL clubs to help them financially to get them out of their situation ?

    Last day for rescue.

It is a shame for the club and Town.

Trouble is having 2 big clubs supporters like Mr H are fans of Man U or City.

We do pass the club too frequently at the moment as it is near the Town Graveyard hence the coffin effigy at the protests.

Nice thought but, Premier League clubs have only one interest, themselves.

Perhaps you should look up the Liverpool FC Foundation or the Arsenal Foundation to name just a couple. Then think again about your daft comments.

The history of football is many jumped up scally wags hover round looking for Kudos and pickings.

Many of our top clubs creak under debt.

I really hope they survive. It isn't all about medals and cups and being a rich Arab's plaything.

Great shame that a club with such rich history may be lost.

There are regulations- not sure if FA, Prem or FL,- which prohibit them from making a donation or taking a stake.

The very existence of the Premier League as a break away from the Football League is testament to their self interest at the expense of the wider game.

As far as charitable and community work is concerned many clubs at all levels do great work there.

Looking at the LFC foundation website I see that they received money from Southport Flower Show. It's a shame that money couldn't have gone to Southport FCs community work instead.

Are you sure that Southport FC didn't receive anything?

If they did it hasn't been mentioned anywhere and I'm a season ticket holder so unlikely to have missed any mention of it.

Yes of course they have. Typical blinkered Premier League fan outlook.

https://foundation.liverpoolfc.com/n...lfc-foundation "Southport Flower Show raises over £3,000 for the LFC Foundation. The LFC Foundation was the chosen charity beneficiary for the show's 90th Anniversary Gala Dinner"

Note the singular context. LFC were the only chosen charity beneficiary.

Never mind. Perhaps next year the Southport FC Charitable Foundation will be the recipient of the Flower Shows largesse.

Perhaps the Southport Flower Show should choose local charities every year rather than those affiliated to multi billion pound businesses.
